Denise Bode – Innovative, Constructive Leadership
Real leadership means taking risks.
Denise Bode has taken many shots over her very successful career in the private sector, as well as during her career as a public servant. Whether it be taking on international energy conglomerates or standing toe-to-toe against OPEC, Denise’s innovation and meaningful leadership has always been to the benefit of taxpayers and small business.
When you decide on Tuesday which candidate is best qualified to carry on Congressman Ernest Istook’s legacy of conservative governance for the 5th Congressional District, you want a leader who is capable of carrying forward many of the ideologies Ernest Istook put forth. When the establishment pushed for wasteful expenditures of transportation dollars, Congressman Istook said “no” and it caused him to lose favor with the moderates. But he did it anyway and the end result was respect of the taxpayers.
Similarly, Denise Bode stood with Congressman Ernest Istook when he attempted to put a stop to the deplorable waste of taxpayer dollars being spent on in-state tuition rates for the children of illegal immigrants. Both she and Congressman Istook drew the ire of the Oklahoman as well as liberals who desire wide open borders.
There are very distinct differences with the candidates and on three very important issues, Denise Bode stands out in the crowd.
Eminent Domain
Denise Bode – Denise vehemently opposes the use of eminent domain to seize homes and churches for the purpose of private development such as shopping malls and casinos. Denise Bode is the ONLY candidate with the courage to speak out in favor of personal property rights. Denise supports the original intent of the Constitution – particularly where eminent domain is concerned.
Government Spending
Denise Bode – Denise is the only candidate for Congress who can say she has reduced the size of government under her watch. The Corporation Commission has fewer employees than when she first came to the Corporation Commission. Denise led the way in state government in implementing performance based budgeting before it was required. Denise has been, and always will be, a fiscal hawk. Her conservatism has earned her the endorsement of the Citizen’s United Political Victory Committee.
Illegal Immigration
Denise Bode – Denise Bode’s plan has earned her the endorsement of the very conservative U.S. Immigration Reform Committee, and Ronald Reagan Attorney General Ed Meese. Her plan is the only plan that eliminates birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens. Denise opposes a guest worker program for illegal aliens, and supports streamlining legal immigration by using private sector technology. |
